National Energy Assistance Directors Association
The National Energy Assistance Directors Association (NEADA) is the primary educational and policy organization for state directors of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), federal programs that help low-income families pay their heating and cooling bills, and water and wastewater bills, respectively.
U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) reduces energy costs for low-income households by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes, while ensuring their health and safety. The program supports 8,500 jobs and provides weatherization services to approximately 35,000 homes every year using DOE funds.
